What is a RainMaker?

You may have heard the term rainmaker in reference to the business world. There, a rainmaker is someone who has the ability to bring in a lot of money for a company. For instance, a sales person who closes a lot of deals, or an attorney who gets the best clients with the biggest cases.

In other words, rainmakers bring in the money to a business so that business can flourish. But here’s my question: why be the rainmaker for someone else’s dreams?

That’s not what I’m talking about here.

The rainmaking I’m referring to has to do with taking control of your life. It’s about building a lifestyle that allows you to live your dream without asking anyone’s permission. Want to take a week off to travel to Greece? Just go. Looking to buy a new house? You won’t be limited by a paltry budget. Do you want to stay home with your kids while they’re young and still pay the bills? It’s entirely possible. Rainmaking produces not only money, but also a certain freedom that allows you live like you want to.

And that’s where we come to my premise.

I am the RainMaker in my own life. I admit that I have a charmed life — but it wasn’t always that way. I’ve punched my share of clocks and worked under enough bosses who couldn’t find their way out of a paper bag. But at one point, I realized that only I could make the changes necessary to take control of my destiny.

And so I become a RainMaker — for myself.

And that’s what I would like to teach you.

Start by joining the RainMaker Tribe and subscribing to my email list. The first thing you’ll receive is a free report that teaches you the basics you need to know before setting out on your own. Next, you’ll receive special offers and alerts every time I post a blog that I think is especially relevant. And finally, check out my books below. Each one is designed to teach you something about opening a small business or starting a writing career.

But here’s the deal: not everyone is on the same path. Some of you may reach RainMaker status by writing books. Others may start a cottage food business. And others may go on to become the next big thing in entrepreneurship. You path is unique and to find it, you should listen to your inner voice.

What do you love to do?

What are you good at?

What would you do for free even if someone offered to pay you for it?

These are just a few of the questions you should answer when finding your RainMaker path.

Are you ready to start your journey? Go to the Subscribe tab and sign up so you can become part of the Tribe. Then, head on over to RainMaker Gear and wear your new status proudly. Finally, scroll down and see if any of my books will help you get started on your path.

And remember, to become the RainMaker in your life, you need to be brave, persistent, have a dream, and not let anyone convince you that you need to “take your head out of the clouds.”

RainMakers are different, but we embrace those differences and use them to create unconventional and immensely satisfying lives.
